Apologies Pablo

Hi, apologies to Pablo Picasso. I'm desperate and out of inspiration again. Less about portraits, more about form and value, not that it's working so well tho. Finding the face the most difficult form to attempt, but, faint hearts etc....

From a web photo10x15cm on WC paper, gouache. I feel like it's "beginning to work". It's one of my daily works so these are generally quick, not "studied" etc. the photo is a bit harsh as the gouache is still softening....

This is a very good likeness - nice work, Murray! You're doing so well with your portrait work.

I think Pablo would approve. :)

Well done. It certainly looks like Pablo.
There is a small Picasso museum in the city I live in. The Rosengart Collection. I once attended a tour lead by the daughter of the art dealer Siegfried Rosengart. She knew Pablo rather well and modelled for him on several occasions. And she did share a few stories "outside the frames". As you wrote, what a character :)
