Beautiful selection! I do have a wee suggestion for the future. Perhaps some more non mammals, like birds, reptiles, fish or insect. That would provide more color variety.

I usually do get several examples of birds as I know that some members particularly like
doing them. I have ten that I didn't use this time because I didn't think
the resolution was good enough to be able to do a painting from but that is just my opinion. I think I'll post some of them now
and see what you think. Fish, I have done some in the past. I will do more in the future.
Will also do more insects. I will also try to do some reptiles. [with the exception of snakes]
My main criteria is showing the 'soul' of the animal .
Cheers

Here are some of the birds that I didn't use because of the resolution and one [the
parrot which has excellent resolution that I didn't use because we recently did a parrot
3 months ago and I try to vary the type of bird to make it more interesting.
Pixabay is a good source of free non-copyright photos but many of them are poor resolution
or unusable in some other way. I usually go through at least 700 pages before finding the gems.
See what you think of the poor resolution photos .
Merry Christmas
Patricia

Patricia - These still look beautiful to me! I know what you mean by looking for royalty free images. What one presumes to be a quick task turns out to be hours down a rabbit hole. Thanks ever so much for the time you put into these selections.

My husband loves snakes; he has always been fascinated by them. The ones here are (mostly) harmless and the ones we see in the yards rid us of unwanted vermin.
