11 x 14 inches .. acrylic on paper .. alla prima .. painted Nov 09/25
Palette was Hooker Green, Ultra Marine Blue, Lemon Yellow, Crimson, Neutral Gray

This is more about how I do it but some might find it helpful.
My palette is glass and a middle value with a five scale value swatch on the bottom for quick reference.
When acrylic paint dries on glass it is a bit of a pain cleaning it. I have found if you scrape the plaette to get the still wet paint off and then wipe the left over dried paint with a water filled paper towel it helps tremendously. Don't try to scrub it off, just put a light coat of water over the paint. Let it sit for a minute or two and then it scrapes off like butter off a knife.

Secondly I make a wet palette application. I put a strip of painting paper (old use failed oil painting stuff) paint side down to the glass and tape it on my palette. I then use a wide brush to apply water to the upside. Once it is wet I put parchment paper over it and put my blobs of paint on there. That keeps the blobs open. I do my mixing on the glass and I mix as needed not before hand.
The little plastic container is what I store my left over paint in. Again I use the old discared oil painting and this time I put my blobs on the painted side as acrylic doesn't really bind to oil. I put a piece of wet paper towel in the corner and seal it. Not sure how long it will sit but I've gone days.

And thirdly I love these brushes. Flats are long enough to keep the ferrule from getting loaded and the brushes wash out in water easily and they keep their spring and shape. Princeton Aspen Flats ...

That's such a nice painting, Wayne; so much depth and atmosphere. Thanks so much for describing your palette too. I like how you use strips of paper to hold your acrylics. I've been using freezer paper over a sponge and it's ok but I will try your way. That's a very interesting way to store your paint blobs too! Now I know what brushes to ask Santa for. I have always heard such good things about them.

Thank you Jade and Donna. Good part is they are priced reasonably in these days. The atmosphere is mostly lost in the picture but you can feel it in the painting.
