For me, the orange background makes it so that the left-side arrangement gets a little lost, but the light is still amazing in this one.

I don't think it is too intense at all, as the tonal (value) contrast is there. Amazing that you could do this in one go, from your imagination. Approximately how long did this take?

Thanks Joy. I think average is 1 to two hours. Paint only would be about 1 to 1.5 with the rest in changing garb and clean up.

The light is lovely, and I'm loving the knife/brush strokes in this one. But the little star of the show is the vase on top of the book. I love that book!
