    Newbie Digital Art Question(s)

Heya Joe, I just read your other comment and there are definitely ways with the iPad to play music while you're drawing. There is the built in iTunes/Music app where you could either buy music, or upload music from your computer over USB. There's also a way to show two apps at once if you want...

Competing With A Billion Other Artists In The World 🎨

This argument doesn't really seem like a productive use of this thread which was thriving fairly well otherwise? Perhaps it can be moved to a private message or just dissipated entirely as it's not productive in the slightest?

    Exercise in light and value

You really nailed the surface reflections! Very convincing lighting.

    Newbie Digital Art Question(s)

Hello! I do dabble a bit in Digital Art, and I think it really depends on your creative process. You certainly can get a good drawing tablet / display off of amazon for significantly cheaper ($30-$300~) than an iPad and Apple Pencil, plus procreate ($1200~), and use Krita or another excellent...

Depth: the intrusion of an illusion

I see... a stark cliff face, travelers around a campfire, overlooking a dark and distant island castle. Birds of prey, or maybe bats, flying above. Just dusk.

    Drawing from life studies

Motivating to do the drawing and sketches when out and about is definitely a struggle, but improving is so difficult just sitting at home I feel like for me it's a necessity if I want to get better.

    Drawing from life studies

I really like the sweeping curves I was seeing in a lot of those buildings. Makes for interesting sketches for sure

    Censorship and Art Museums?

This is so crazy to think about. Definitely an example of gross overcensorship on the part of big tech. These companies are now responsible for choosing what types of fine art are available to the general public, since their platforms (especially Instagram) are essentially the only popular...

    Drawing from life studies

Costa Rica was incredible! I'd definitely recommend visiting. Truly a beautiful place with kind locals and good eats. I only just started drawing from life like this, since I've been reading it's one of the best ways to improve your visual library and mind's eye and I'm really interested in...

    Drawing from life studies

I wanted to get more drawings done I'm Costa Rica, more like a drawing journal to keep memories instead of relying on my camera, but the trip itself ended up being far too hectic to draw every day. I do like doing these small scenes though.

    What are you Reading?

I currently have a few different books of different types going. I'm reading The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. It's a pretty thick fantasy novel that I'm crawling through. I've read some of his other stuff and enjoyed it a lot, but this series has a lot more depth to it. I'm also reading...
