I understand. I got several sets of my late mother-in-law's ancient tube WCs (we're talking 50+ year old Winsor & Newton 😲), and some had separated. The worst one was the first – a tube of (titanium?) white which, when stirred together, turned the color to a warm white. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Better yet, say, "Oh, thank you, dear! Do you really think I look so young?" This way you can share a laugh over silly rules, and maybe brighten someone's day! 😉

Ouch! My sympathy. I have a "peg-leg" and currently use a cane to aid my balance outside (Foothills of the Appalachian Mts). If and when I need more support, I plan to go for a walker just because I can get a pouch for it so I can keep "stuff" in it. I guess it's like a pocketbook, but it hangs...
