In this small Alpine valley with its little brook, there are several huge fallen rocks, now peacefully grown over.
They are in the size of small cabins. It must have been a giant rock fall.
From my own reference, watercolors on Arches CP paper (1/4 sheet, 30x40 cm)

Really like the looking down feel to this. Been to places like this where giants have lost their marbles.
Great job of conveying the scale.
 
This is so well done. It's hard to get the right colors on something like a huge boulder, but you were able to get those grays and subtle greens in there to reflect the surroundings. Pretty light through your trees and I love the movement in the water. Wonderful!

Wayne, I like the idea of giants marbles.
Donna, I once heard the sound of a rock fall at a hiking tour. Gladly we were far enough away. It is a sound that makes you run before you even realize what is going on.
