Winter Trees

You get easier winters then! Lucky you! ⛄
I know. I don't like the winter but have to admit, talking to you (and watching Rambling Wild Rosie in Sweden on YT) has made me appreciate our milder winters. Take care and a head stroke for Muffin! 💞

@Grapes, where you live looks a lot like our area. Finland is a large country and I would love to visit there. We live in the mountains of Western Pennsylvania, and the winters have been much milder the last decade or so. It is snowy and blowy today, but we generally have lovely spring and autumn. Summer is generally not too hot. We only have an air conditioner in our bedroom window. There is a treadmill and exercise bike in our aerobics room, with a nice TV. So if it is too cold, or even too hot and humid in the summer, I run there. That way I can watch shows I recorded. We had two different small TVs there over the years, and upgraded to a larger one when the last one finally broke. (The first one lasted 23 years, the second one 16 years!)

With four distinct seasons, we need a lot of equipment for leaves, grass, snow, and other maintenance. We also need a variety of clothing and outerwear for the temperature variety. That is probably one of the reasons those in variable climates tend to have larger homes. So many retired folks downsize, but we really use all our space. We will use the gym on the ship/hotel when we are away, but nothing beats the convenience of your own gym. Even though it is unusual, we also like having stairs to be able to walk them for exercise.

Jade, today we lost the snow and it's been raining all day +8 °C. I'm kinda happy 😊 I did today 8 km walk in the city center.
It never was like that, imo this is all cause of global warming.
Hugs for Bob 😻😻

Joy, when I travel up north of my country meaning the areas of Levi etc. I make sure l don't travel in July and August b/c the quantities of mosquitoes is intolerable. You need to wear a coat made of net so that they won't eat you.
It's here exactly like where you live except you living close the mountains it can be more windy/hard. Here it's pretty flat.
I recommend Norway for a visit, that's where I want to go paint next 😄 🎨

We were in Eidfjord, Norway on our trip this summer. Lovely quaint area, but it rained all day and really curtailed our activities. There were a lot of biting bugs in some areas of Canada this summer. Even though we wore head nets, they managed to get under them and under my socks.

Joy, l faintly recall you mentioning Eidfjord before summer but had forgotten it already. I only went to Trondheim - Kristiansund - Molde and nearby areas to paint. I checked Eidfjord on the map and looks spectacular.

Jade, I'm not sure they are categorized to pests ...
I've never been to Oslo.
