Where do you "edit" a thread?

Do I edit my thread from the 3-dot selection, in the upper, right corner, where it says, "Edit Thread", .....OR,
do I edit my thread by clicking the "edit" word, in the lower, left. I tried editing my thread, and it was a disaster!

I usually edit from the word in the lower left. You have an hour to do so.

Editing is done from the link at the bottom left (to the left of the "Report" link). You have about an hour after you post to edit your entry. What exactly did you experience when you were having trouble? I'd like to help you.
