Hi folks, managed to catch the last sunny day for a while. There were lots of fall colours but two days of strong wind did for most of it.
Roughly 25x17cm, Rembrandt's on sanded down Sennelier card, mid brown
Parked on the side of the road with a nice view, no tourists, yay.

That is a rugged-looking hilltop. I like how you changed the sky color to give it depth and interest. Very nice work! It was nice of the tourists to give you a break!

Hi Donna, thanks so much. It's only the very top, the rest falls to the sea hundreds of meters below. The hills here have these amazing cliffs running along the coast. Nice to get out.

The light was really dropping by the time I left, but you get an idea if the scale. I chose to ignore the road carved into the hill as a memento of what was.....

Your cards are always so amazing, Murray! The amount of detail you achieve is impressive. Your rock face is beautiful!

Hi Terri and Txomsy, thanks for the encouragement. It was a toss up between pastels and oils, this time pastels won. No tourists but lots or horn honks from cars & trucks.
