I'm not 100% happy with this one because I had to give up before I was satisfied with the gradient because between the beginning of wax bloom and the paper not wanting to hold more layers, it was just time to stop. But I really like the concept and think I'll attempt it again, perhaps in oil pastel.

Very creative, Jesse. The quality of paper makes a big difference to how many layers you can get. Have you tried working on drafting film?

I haven't, but I will look into it. Usually I do colored pencil pieces on watercolor paper (hot press) but I'm currently out, so I used what I had on hand.
 
I missed this one till now! I love your twisting vines, Jessie - well done! Sorry you had trouble with the wax bloom - here's hoping your favorite hot press paper shows up on your doorstep very soon. It's a fun concept and I'd love to see what you do with it. ❤️
