View to the Bridge

On Sunday the NYC Urban Sketchers went to a park what was near Columbia University. There was a marsh area, a great view to a bridge, and a view across of the school's "C" painted on the cliff and

reflected in the water. I usually do work that is more of a sketch when I go out with them, but decided to do a painting instead. This is about 6 x 8 done on a sample of Hahnemuhle watercolor paper.

Joan, you never cease to amaze. I can't believe this is a sketch! The water is great. How would you describe the properties of Hahnemuhle paper? I am not familiar with it.
