This was my fourth sketch made on location about ten days ago at Chennai Weekend Artists event # 514 at Marundeeswarar Temple. My sketch is A4 size and is an ink and wash sketch. Most of my fellow sketchers opted to sketch the temple and within the temple precincts. But having done that a few times in the past, I opted to sketch activities and scenes in the streets around the temple.

I am really enjoying your "populated" scenes. The figures are in such excellent scale, and really bring life to the scenes.

Thank you Joy. I enjoy drawing human figures. Not detailed drawings, but gestural sketches. And whenever I can I try and practise doing them, both as ink sketches, and in watercolour.
