These all tell a story to me. The is and the isn't. That probably doesn't make sense to anyone but me, but there it is. It's the static of life, or something?
I think I understand that, but I won't attempt to prove it with an explanation. I guess all art is ultimately an exploration and some form of explication of existence. There's a $100 word. Thank you as always Artyczar!
"For now we see through a glass, darkly..." I'm not sure if I'm looking at frames, or windows (or window frames?) - or mirrors, for that matter - in some of them ("Nothing Fits"), but that kind of ambiguity certainly gets the imagination churning And I'll bet that "Small flowering dog" - cool title, btw - will seem somewhat familiar to migrainuers.
Thank you, Laika, for taking the time to look and comment. I'm all for ambiguity, mystery. I think of them as frames, so these could be seen as representations of art. And the artist (me ☺) is pretending to make art, if that makes sense..
Thank you, Artczar! I must look up Hundertwasser again. I was trying to do something with the generic symbol. The symbol wearing a t-shirt sporting the generic symbol and "advertising" the fact. I don't know what it would mean. Banksy had a limited edition t-shirt go on sale yesterday...
I have no idea how you make these, Iain, but they are just jaw-dropping! You are somehow repeating an image or parts of an image and I suspect there is magic involved.
