Sri Lankan Elephant

My wife got me a 5" x 4" elephant dung paper sketchbook from Sri Lanka. The paper has a nice texture and I thought that it would be suitable for watercolour sketches. Unfortunately it did not take even my first light wash well. I therefore tried to retrieve the situation with some inkwork.
