I have a can of Elmers Craft Bond spray glue, I use for making temporary bonds - haven't used it in a while and the button was really stiff, and took some effort to push it down -- then when I finished spraying and released the button it stuck, and glue kept spraying out - couldn't get it to pop up, finally I turned it upside down and smashed the button against a table and it released..
So, it's a common problem to have the nozzle get clogged, but first time I've had the button stick down. Lesson - if you have a hard time pressing down the button, good chance it could have a hard time releasing when you want it to come up -- rinse it off with mineral spirits to break the bond.
My hands got covered with glue but since I was spraying outside nothing got damaged.
