Here's an other daily painting practice from earlier this year. I wanted to focus on color, material and big simple shapes. Size: small, oil painting on cardboard.

Excellent, Grapes. I don't think I've ever painted on cardboard. How long do you think it will last? I hope forever. It's too nice for it not to.

I don't know how long this kind of support will last but as it was only one quick daily painting study I thought to use cardboard.

I recall Levitan painted some of his pleinair studies on some kind of paper/cardboard supports and they are still fine after 100 yrs.
