Self Portrait

Woa, it's been a minute since I logged in. It's also been a while since I have drawn anything with graphite, so a few weeks ago I decided to try my hand at a self portrait piece. I honestly really love how most of it came out, especially in regards to capturing an accurate representation of my height. The only areas that I can immediately see to improve are the facial proportions and the shading (Though I wasn't particularly going for photorealism in the first place, it could still do with some refinement).

What does everyone else think? Any pointers? Cheers!

I am in awe of anyone who can do a self portrait and think you used the graphite very well! I like the attention you gave to the buttons and zipper and the shine of the shoes.

Awh thanks so much for the kind words! I agree with you, the buttons and shoes are definitely the highlights of the piece (pun intended). :D
