Scavenger Hunt from Life #186: Mar 22 - Apr 3

Robin, so good to see you checking in. I hope all is well with you.

Fletch, thanks so much for your comments. That Coke glass definitely looks like an antique. I always liked the way those glasses were shaped...and I liked Coke too. Haven't had a Coke or any kind of soda in eons.

Joan, the statue is so peaceful and well done. You did find an interesting tree and bark. The spring flowers are beautiful. The local interest sketch is great. Careful out there, not all protests end up peaceful! Wow what and inspiring steeple/bell tower on the church. Excellent.

Ned, oooh nice on the water sketch. Super well done and love the photos you share.

Ai, Such fun finds for your sketches. Love the "plumbing" helmet. Also batman and the bike. All have great lines. Tone's haircut and tools is sooo good.

Hey Robin, nice to see you, hope all is going well.

And Fletch. Ummm on the Coke glass. I still have diet caffeine free Coke once in a while. I had a Mexican Coke with real sugar awhile back at the food court, just to see how it was. Reminded me of the ones we had made from Coke bottles. Well done. Hope all is well down south, too.

I sketched on the porch yesterday and today. So nice before it gets too hot. In
#1 Spring flowers - a new geranium to torture, it is a bit fluffier than it looks. Not bedraggled yet! in the Marker sketchbook with Blick grey markers.
#2 fits in hand, #3 statue - the owl on a pole to scare the birds from the windows and #4 buildings - next door, these are in the big Canson Mixed Media sketchbook on one page so not too big. With Ohuhu pens.

Jo: Thanks... nice building, trees, in your hands, an owl figurine, and spring flowers done in markers.

Ai, thanks so much.

Ned, thanks. I figured I'd start at the top and see how much fit on the page. I really needed a double page spread which I didn't have with me.

Jo, thanks for the comments. Wow, you did quite a few sketches. I like the geranium in the pot...the lettering on it adds a fun dimension to the sketch. I see you've got a collection of pens at the ready. Does that owl scare away anything? Nice job on the buildings. Even small, that's a lot to fit on one page.

Hope to get out to sketch something today before it decides to rain. See you all later.
