Not particularly interesting as a photograph, but this jumble of rocks on a sidewalk caught my eye because of the ripple patterns in the rock: millions, perhaps even billions of years ago, that rock was a sandy riverbed, with who knows what marvels swimming past just above:

I pass this window on my morning walk every day. On this particular day, it was overcast, and the window poking through the branches in the gloomy atmosphere struck me as wonderfully atmospheric. I later even loosely based a painting on it (which, predictably didn't sell). Unfortunately the very gloom that made the scene so nice also meant that my humble cellphone camera couldn't focus well, so the photo came out rather blurry, with the sky overexposed. I had to shrink it down a lot to make it a bit sharper!
