Quarry lll

[Grapes]

This is third quarry I went to paint. I was tempted to try to paint all these spring greens and peculiar color water. Water is such difficult subject to paint!

Oil on canvas, 11x14 inches.

Wanted to paint those rocks under water but ran out of time.

Nicely done, Grapes! What a great subject for mixing a variety of greens.

Donna, thanks. I had black gesso on this canvas so the whole thing tends to turn quite dark and showing through the fresh paint.
