I rarely spend more than 2 hours on a painting. I tried layers a few times but I am far too impatient. It's real handy if you paint plein air in winter as I used to do. I'm older now and the cold seems that much colder.

Wow! Look at how the light moves around in this one! I'm noticing how your multi-colored background strokes add to the light-reflecting effect and enhance the whole piece where a simple, smooth background would not do that. Thanks for the lesson, Wayne.
