plein air frame source

Enjoyed the apparently Creative Mark plein air wooden frames from Jerry's Artarama. Problem is the expense, but beyond that I have trouble locating any remotely affordable 10x20" versions of a 2.5-3.5" wide wooden plein air style frame.
Anybody know of one?
Thanks.

I have ten 16x 20 gold decorative frames made of wood I bought for $6. a piece on clearance from Hobby Lobby -- years ago.
I'm not a fan of decorative frames and even less when they're gold. But I mixed a dark green/brown color with acrylic paint and coated the whole frame with it. Then before it was dry I wiped out the high areas so they remained gold and the low areas the green/brown.
You could do something similar with this to tone it down in the color/colors of you choice.

That’s a nice way to tone down the gold, Bongo. I’ve used black mineral paint intended for furniture refinishing to be able to use those gold frames. Sometimes it looks good to leave a little gold accent and sometimes it’s best to cover it all up. It’s nice to have the option.

Bongo, thanks, but I should have specified real wood frames. I don't like the plastic nor foam products for framing.
