My computer has been down for a couple of weeks so I haven't been around but....I'm back!

Penguin, line and wash (Inktense), 8"x10" in XL Mixed Media sketchbook.

Boat on Beach, line and wash in XL Mixed Media sketchbook, about 5"x7".

This last one is also line and wash but I tried a different paper. I have been experimenting with better quality paper that I could use if I am doing painting for a show. This is Stonehenge which I liked very much. I used it quite a few years ago when I worked in Colored Pencil and had some left. It also works very well for Mixed Media.

Anne, nice work and glad to see you back posting again! These are all nice, but I really like the perspective and the rendering of the boat!

I like all three as well. The flower pulls me in.
I like a Stonehenge water color sketchbook I have but I didn't like their pastel paper, it was gridded and slippery to me.

Thanks Joy. That was a challenge but fun when I was finally finished!

I've never tried their Pastel paper. The paper I have was the "old" Stonehenge that I think was originally developed for printing.

I found it interesting that different people were pulled to different paintings. That's why it's best to not get too upset if you don't get into a show or win a competition (and not too cocky if you do.)
