Ink and Inktense in bee creative watercolor journal, about 5"x5"

This was my first try on this paper with line and wash. The paper is a little more textured than the XL Mixed Media I have been using. As a result, I was able to make the ink lines much lighter by just skimming the surface which I like. I don't like the ink to stand out, I like to use it to help define edges and texture but I don't want it to be obvious.

I think this worked well Anne, the ink lines fade in and out of the paint nicely.

I agree with what the others said. The ink lines blend in nicely and aren't even noticeable, if you didn't mention them I wouldn't have thought that this picture has ink lines.

Thanks for the comments. I like the ink lines to help define edges and texture but I don't want them to be noticeable. I was able to get the right balance on this one.
