On his Charpoy

This is a quick, gestural, ink and watercolour wash sketch, in an 130 gsm, A6 size (approximately 14 cms x 10 cms) sketchbook. A charpoy, as you can see from this sketch, is an Indian bed made with a wooden frame strung with tapes or light ropes. Charpoys are used indoors and outdoors, and often for sitting also, especially in rural India.
