I usually think of texture as being mostly a landscape thing but you sure used it well here! The skin and the beard have lots of textural interest. Nice one, Wayne!

I figured if I could paint a vase of flowers no reason I can’t paint anything else. I surprised myself on this and was overjoyed at how it turned out.

I bought a few new Princetown acrylic flats. Wow, so impressed with the brush. Actually I asked AI chat for the best middle of the line acrylic brush and it gave me a few names. Glad I tried these. As well, I am using the glazing medium you suggested and find it quite suitable for glazing layer on layer as in bird feathers. Tomorrow’s piece uses three blacks, blue, brown, and red. Interesting these non black blacks. Again something you told me about. I’m using bottom of the line student paints and still getting some awesome colorings.
