This is a pencil I started yesterday (and hopefully finish soon) which is a remake of an old ink illustration I did many years ago.
As you probably started to know me (especially those among you who frequently replied to my posts, ... and again, thanks: it's much appreciated), I always like to give a bit of background about my artworks.
The characters depicted are two of my old OCs (as many like to call them in the Web days) from the mid school times (i.e. 40 years ago). This ink, though, was made around 15-20 years ago. It was one shot illustration for ink practicing.
They are the members of an expendable military team under the control of an intergalactic organization named "Human Foundation" (boring choice, I know - probably inspired by Asimov books - but in my defense, I should say that I was a kid
), in a sci-fi, dramedy, grotesque, story that I created when I was a teen. There was, in fact, even a character (not depicted here) inspired by one my older cousins (because he was a "character" himself in real life).I must say that I am proud of the result. I am starting to master pencil shading at a satisfying level and I am even fixing details (like hair) that I have never cared much about before. All of this makes me feel ready for the following steps... And maybe, I will also draw a "reboot" episode of these guys.
