Hello painters. I used to be on Wetcanvas back before it started to change. Some things in life happened and I didn't paint for a few years. In getting back to it, I've been doing smaller and quicker paintings, experimenting with mood and atmosphere. I haven't gone back to my older style yet, I'm having fun exploring, even trying some plein air. I may post some older work another time, but for now I'll post some of the recent ones. First and last are 8x10, the rest are 5x7, some canvas and some panel. The last one is en plein air.
Any comments/critiques welcome. Thanks for looking.

Thank you.

For better or worse, when learning color mixing I made myself exclusively use a store brand version of titanium white, medium yellow, permanent red, and Prussian blue. And I've stuck with that ever since. While there are holes in that and I'd use others for figure painting or still life depending on the subject, it covers most needs for landscapes.

Very nice work - and I noticed the brush technique too. The last one is so beautiful in its simplicity and color contrasts. I could look at it all day!
