Jennie,
You have a good story as a base for this painting. I like the composition. The colors are very balanced. I like to look at this painting. How do you plan to proceed with this piece? With the whole series?

I love the colors you’re using, JennieJo, and the way the cools are on one side and the warms are on the other in the upper part. The person’s shape blends with the s-curve of the tree so it all makes one curving shape - and I can read a lot into that. Very interesting work!

Many thanks everyone, you are wonderful. I'm still coming to terms with a few things, and really was beginning to dislike this. Everytime I went for a brush, an inner voice said: What would Donna say, "step away from the canvas " I think it's safe for a few more days.
