More snow, more texture study

This time I evened out some of the tissue paper texture with Golden Fiber Paste. I'm not sure what it is intended for but I have a little sample of it and it seemed to work nicely. I like the slight rough surface it created. Overall, it seemed easier to paint over an evenly textured surface but I guess it depends on the subject too. Acrylic, 8x10 canvas

This really came out great. I think you're on to something here with
using it in your landscapes. I like the texture. The comp and colors
look very nice also. It's a winner!

The colors you’ve mixed are reminiscent of your pastel mixes. Did you make this from a reference or from artist muscle memory? 👍🏼👍🏼

This is so beautiful, Donna! You're really figuring this tissue paper texture thing out. I'm really intrigued. Love the colors in your sky, and how soft and feathery your trees and bushes are.

I just love it!! ❤

Yeah, really nice. I would hang this in the living room. The texture is perfect now.

This is gorgeous. I love those textures and colours, especially the sky :)

Donna, you have captured that wintery stillness with colourful reflections and as already mentioned the texture really works so well here. Just beautiful with nice added depth and that sky just works superb!!

Perry, Patrick, Terri, Jo, John, Kay and John -thanks so much for looking and letting me know what you think!

Patrick, I used my reference photo (overcast, dull day) and studied several snow paintings in issues of Plein Air magazine to find a color scheme that fit with what I wanted. I would have made the snow much too pink if I had only trusted my memory.

I like the texture, the muted colors, the composition, all of it. You didn't let the colors overpower the softness of the painting, very well done! ❤️❤️

Absolutely gorgeous! All of it: texture and color, and composition too. I LOVE this one! ♥️ ♥️♥️♥️

Thanks Wayne.

Thanks Sno. I had a hard time photographing this. The colors are actually softer.

Ayin, Four hearts?! Thank you very much!

Thank you Katie and Esther. The tissue paper and fiber paste made a very enjoyable surface to paint on so I'll have to try it again.

The hearts are not necessarily a "rating" system. When I get excited about something I like, I tend to just click a lot--my finger gets happy! :) I really love it though! :)

Like your use of the texture in the composition. Like the pallet too.(y)
