What appears to be a portrait of Mike Lindell in a Santa hat holding up a Rick Ross gold chain is actually a self portrait of Pietro Bellotti, painted in the 1650s.
It's in the news because it was recently found in a roadside dumpster in southeast Germany ( https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/19/europe/german-police-paintings-dumpster-scli-grm-intl/index.html)
But what is news to me - is that this type of portrait (selfie)- with the self-mocking (parody) look directly at the viewer(camera) was painted back in the sixteen hundreds. Not to mention the off-the-chart level of skill level -
