Marundeeswarar Koil, Temple Tank

This was my second sketch of the day during Chennai Weekend Artists’ two-hour event # 514 at Marundeeswarar Temple last Saturday. My sketch is an ink and wash, approximately 20cms x 15 cms. I made a quick and loose ink sketch and then moved to a more convenient location under a banyan tree and added the watercolour washes.

Amazing what you can do in such a short time span. I was on holiday a while and am "catching up" on so many things.

Thank you Joy. But this is actually not a complicated subject. But for the fact that you can see something through the structure in front, the shapes in the scene are large and clearly defined.
