This is a ten minutes 4" x 5" ink sketch with a black ink gel pen, and ten to fifteen minutes watercolour work using a mini palette and water brush, done sixteen months apart.

Great sense of scale with the vehicles. And the brighter colors are a departure for you and really gives extra personality to the work, and typical of that area. The tower does lean a wee bit to the left, but maybe it was really like that. When I was in Belfast last month, ther was a clock tower that leaned and the city decided to leave it as is.

For the time spent on each step, it is quite remarkable.

Joy, and pporsc...Thank you.

Thank you Joy. Yes, the steeple does lean to the left in my sketch. In reality it does not. With pen and ink sketching, to some extent, one has to live with the mistakes. One way to avoid this is to mark the proportions and outline with dots to ensure that the main frame is correctly placed. But, since I was trying to complete the sketch in ten minutes (which I did), I dispensed with this safety net.

Incidentally the real colours of the building are quite different. I did not refer to a photo while adding the colours and based them on personal whim and the colours in my mini palette.
