Longboard summer..

Summer is on its way here in Australia, so I thought I would paint a scene to celebrate.
The inspo for this is I have been watching a lot of surfing videos- women on longboards. So the references I used are stills from the videos.

It's weird Bethany, my husband and I agreed the woman on the left looks very like me. I now have grey hair (for the past few years)but we both loved the painting and that added an extra thing for us. I also lived in Sydney for a year in my twenties so Oz and the sea have a special place in my heart.

Cool! I surfed on Bells Beach when I was in Oz, just the once. If was great but hard work! Lots of waves. It's nearly 30 years ago but I loved Oz so much.
