Latest commission

This is my latest commission, just finished. Was very hard to get a likeness on the girl because, even though the image is about 8X10 1/2, the face is only about an inch and a half. Makes for difficult drawing, the width of a pencil lead can make a big difference at that size. This is a scan so doesn't show the full border.

What a sweet image. Great job. Of course she loved it!! I’ve had to draw faces that small with tiny details. One of those mechanical pencils and a magnifying glass works wonders. It’s always harder to remove if it’s too dark without erasing too much. So just a very slow careful approach to adding the darks. I have one of those magnifying glasses you wear on your head with a light. A little bit cumbersome, but it really helps.
