It's a beautiful place with some very nice people, but on top of that Ireland is one country that has made hay from investing in advancing its populace. First it was cheap or free advanced education, now subsidies for artists. Wow!

Not the kind of paywall Ireland put up! They're paying their artists a stipend.

Perhaps I'm eligible to emigrate. My great-grandmother came from Ireland during the Great Potato Famine. This unfortunately resulted in my having a red beard in spite of my blonde hair and blue eyes (from the German/Austrian side of the family). I suppose I'd take it now as opposed to the gray beard/hair.

I got that far, but the New York Times wouldn't give me anymore. I think it's a wonderful thing! It would be interesting to know how artists become eligible for it.
