This is on Canson XL paper for oil and acrylics. It's cheap! It's textured to seem like canvas. The edges curled a little. It took the paint just fine, though I needed to add some matte medium to a certain spot before I used some Golden Open paint there. The Open paint seems to need a bit of tooth. The paper cost about 40 cents US. per sheet. :)
The reference image is at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Azteca_caballo.JPG. It's an Azteca horse, a breed that just got started in 1972.

I can't speak for the quality of the paper but you made a beautiful painting on it. ❤️❤️❤️

Cindy,
Your horse is nicely done. Great soft edges.

I use that paper and for oil it is good. For acrylic it curls badly. I even wet the back like you would for a water color stretch and it still curled. I wrote Canson but have not had a reply.

Beautiful painting of a beautiful animal. But the white thing coming off the nose is distracting.
