As promised earlier I post a pleinair from 2021 painted in a hill of Levi (Levi Ski Resort) in Lapland. Oil on canvas board, size about: 18x24 cm. It was June when I was there.
Another memorable painting location! I'm glad l went up there.

Jade & Sanlynn, thank you for your kind comments!
Kitty likes to go out and hike, she's quite adventurous and curious. I stayed with her at the lower level because higher we climbed harder got the wind and cats don't like wind, I think their ears hurt. Husband climbed all the way up to the top. But the hill side was very steep so I stayed happily away from the peek.

As Margaret said, your painting surpasses the scene. Very nice value range. Your comment about the steep hill reminded me of Naustahvilft (The "Troll Seat") in Ísafjörður, Iceland. There really isn't any trail, just a lot of rocks, and it is very steep. Coming down was very treacherous, as it was getting rainy and muddy. Jerry slipped several time; I was so worried someone would get injured. One has to go so slowly it really isn't much exercise, and I am well used to running and weight lifting. There is a register book at the top, where you can sign your name and date. I made sure we did that and got photos of the signing, as I am NOT going up that mountain again!

Wayne, thank you! 💖
Your right, there's enough view to paint pleinair to every direction. Just maybe I go back there.

Donna, thanks! 💖
Once before I had to put myself between a male reindeer and my cat because she went hunting the reindeer. That was when she was younger she's much smarter now.

Sno, thank you so much! 🩷

Joy, thanks 🙏.
Oh my, you went all the way up to Naustahvilft! The mountain has interesting form. I had to google the place because I know nothing about Iceland but you're waking my curiosity and I actually want to go there. I met in Ireland a painter from Iceland and l think he's organizing next yr a pleinair event in Iceland and many Americans from our Irish group want to travel to Iceland. That would be a great opportunity to go and paint there.
Climbing to the top was like what you describe: very rocky and difficult. I remember it now! With my asthma l also try not to climb ever all the way up. I stay in the lower levels.
Thanks for writing this story about this hill, I loved to hear.
