Fruit Vendor, Pondy Bazaar

This is a pen and ink sketch made on location in 2016 using assorted Staedtler Pigment Liners and a Sakura chisel sketch pen.

Although I have mentioned Pondy Bazaar as the location this vendor was actually located on a side street but close to the junction with the main road. I found the combination of the fruit cart, the tree, and the shops in the background irresistible

Hi Balaji, 2016? These are great! The proportions, detail and scene are so well captured. Are you ever tempted to add just a FEW watercolour highlights? No need, but it may be fun, looking forward to some recent work. Great series by the way and lovely work.
