My wife got me two Tara Notes Flukebooks last week, in two different sizes. I could not wait to try them out and decided to inaugurate the smaller one immediately.

From past experience I knew that these books are very nice for ink sketching. But this time, I tried out an ink and wash. Since I was unsure whether the paper would withstand water. I kept the sketch quite light. Next time, I'll be bolder.

My sketch is 14 cms x 9 cms.

I always admire your observational skills and how you can get all that down so well. You have developed a wonderful eye. Are these all done live or are you working from photos from your travels?

This one was done from a photo reference, but I do a lot of my sketching (in ink) on location. Recently I have started doing colour sketches too on location, bu I have not done many of them.
