Forest walks

The weather has been grand lately. An early spring it seems. I have been hiking a bit in the local forests. And I just love spending time there. Here are a few watercolour impressions from those walks.

Great collection of shapes and the white paper for definition and separation.

Beautiful collection of forest paintings! I can picture them in white mats and narrow, natural wood frames but however you display them they are gorgeous.

Thank you all :) I'am happy with how they came out. When I did the paintings It felt really nice. Not just that I got into the flow and the outside world disappeared. It's hard to explain, but you guys probably understand what I mean. That feeling like you are really painting like yourself. That there is no way you could paint a more true, to you, version of those impressions. An almost spiritual experience that sometimes, but not always occur.

It is a wonderful feeling, isn’t it? Can help us also get away from me every day, worries and pain and aches.
Very nice set of paintings. I seem to recall some paintings or style in the 80s that was very much like this. Your work does have a lovely relaxed flow to it. It’s also very free almost whimsical.
