Flowers

These were some flowers I painted with line and wash using inktense. I took a picture with my cell phone instead of using the scanner because it was picking up the black ink lines much darker than they actually are. I think it was because the flowers were so light.

I decided to strengthen the shadows and try the scanner again. I believe the problem was that the shadows were too light in comparison to the black lines so they popped out too strong.

These are lovely! I especially like the darker flower in which the underside of the petal and the upper side are so well differentiated.
