I think the power comes from the darks around the flowers. The illusion of petals in the white flower is incredible with those strokes of paint! You speak “floral” so well, Wayne.
Agreed - the white flower in the foreground is a stunner! All by its little self. One of those "whites" where you start counting all the splashes of color in it, but still call it a stunning white flower.
I like the rosy rosiness of the roses, too - that special old-fashioned kind of pink-rose. Yummy!
