This is my first watercolor painting. It was extremely difficult in terms of getting the right color tones, and I had to paint several layers to reach this initial result.

This is really excellent. Portraiture is notoriously difficult. This shows remarkable talent in the way the values and colors are blended without streaking or blooms. What I find intriguing is that your non-traditional approach is so refreshing. Working one a few select areas with a build up of different tones, rather than light washes over the whole painting, really seems to be working. Please continue posting your WIP.
