Drawing Velazquez in Seville

Pencil sketches from Seville where I was painting and sketching some streets and outside landscape few yrs ago.

These are from Plaza del Duque, the center of Seville. Had to try to draw this statue. There are benches to sit down so it's comfortable.

Nice job with a difficult subject. The proportions look very good. That would take me a long time and reminds me I need to practice drawing from life.

@Donna T I should have drawn the bird to a shoulder or something. It's possible it flew there for the photo.
Seville has many beautiful and warm locations to draw/paint. All that is exotic for me.
@Joy Drawing from life is ok but I started out from photos long time ago, switched at some point drawing/painting from life. Now I'm not sure where to head from here.
