This is an approximately 4" x 5" sketch. I did the ink sketch with a black ink gel pen, in early May 2024, in around ten minutes. I added the watercolour washes yesterday, nearly twenty months after doing the ink sketch, once again taking around ten minutes to do it.

Joy...actually I love to sketch and paint different subjects. A very skilled artist once advised me to stay with one subject for a considerable length of time if I wished to see quick improvement. But this is an advice that I have not followed. You have seen me post a stream of quick sketches with buildings because because I am adding watercolour washes and recycling work that I did during my "therapy" phase eighteen to twenty months ago, when I used Stephen Travers videos on ten minute sketches as reference for my sketches. It so happens that most of them have buildings as the main subject.
