This is the last addition to the Softly Spoken series.

No. VIII - Distant Hills - this piece has very little if any surface texture - which was planned . My intention in doing this was to go back in and add the textural effects of my new painting style. In doing so, I ended up loving the "softness!

WHO KNEW!!!!!

Distant Hills - 12x16x11/16's on gallery wrapped canvas using SoHo HB Acrylics. Done alla prima using a dry brush technique, with lots and lots of color blending.

Good distance. I might have added a little stream or some rocks or something to break up the large expanse of grass in the foreground. Just a suggestion.

I do one painting most mornings which takes about
1-2 Hours. I'm an early morning person

OK------ sometimes I do two!!!!

Thanks snoball appreciated. I'm not one for putting "things" in the fg - especially this one, as I want the Grasses to dominate the feeling of "Softly Spoken" - the name of my series.
