Stradano Lino is a very "polished" and soft oil primed canvas, meaning it does not have "tooth". That makes painting with oils tricky because we as oil painters should have a canvas with tooth so that paint sticks deep into the canvas - that way in time being paint won't drop/peel off the canvas - that's after hundreds of years of course, I suppose.
It's a good canvas, I enjoy painting on it and I thought I would order more but I never did, tho I should. I ordered an entire huge roll from an art store in Florence called Zecchi. I think it's their own canvas. It came in couple of days to my front door after making the order, that is a shipping from Italy up to northern Europe crossing all thru Europe.
