From some guy name Zahir on X --

“‘Make your own prompts’ isn’t advice. It’s basic integrity, I’m honestly fed up. Changing a few words, renaming the prompt, or slightly rephrasing it doesn’t make it yours, the idea is still the same, the vibe is the same, and the results are obviously similar.”
“And no, this isn’t about one or two people, and it didn’t happen once!!!!” . “Creating your own prompts is actually easier than copying someone else’s work! Try it.”

That's not different from "make your own art instead of copies from the masters", if you think of AI just as a new tool.
It's more like - don't copy my copy of the masters, make your own copy of the masters.

The Copyright Office has consistently denied registration to works that lack “human creative input,” including images generated entirely by AI in response to a user prompt.

using the same AI program, if you enter PROMPT "A" you get several versions of image "A" -- and every time you enter PROMPT"A" you'll get slightly different versions.
